Inequality in America manifests in many ways, but perhaps nowhere more than in how we eat.
I’m a sociologist, author, and speaker whose work explores the intersections of food, health and inequality in America. Through ethnographic research and storytelling, my talks help audiences better understand how structural forces shape the lived experience of economic inequality and the difficult choices families make around food, nutrition and health.
I regularly speak for universities, healthcare organizations, nonprofits, public health audiences, libraries, and community organizations.
